A look back at 2018 for Vestmark

As a company, we have had an enormous number of accomplishments this past year that wouldn’t have been possible without our clients and employees. From the acquisition of Adhesion Wealth Advisor Solutions to being awarded first place, Best Places to work in Boston by the Boston Business Journal, 2019 has a lot to live up to.

The ”Best Places to Work” was a great testament to our company culture and the Vestmark team as a whole. Strong, unified company culture is the backbone to Vestmark’s success in 2018. We are shooting for the stars in 2019 to get honored yet again!

As mentioned, Vestmark acquired Adhesion Wealth Advisor Solutions at the end of the 4th quarter in 2018. This collaboration enables Vestmark to become competitive in the rapidly growing RIA market and expand its manager market place. We are looking forward to working with Barrett Ayers and the Charlotte-based firm during this integral growth.

This year we are honored that our own CEO, John Lunny, was named an EY Entrepreneur of the year, winner of the New England region for financial services. This award showcased all the hard work John has put in as CEO, leading the company to success and telling our story along the way. “John is a respected, inspiring leader with an unwavering commitment to his vision”, says Lon Macdonald, CMO of Vestmark.

Speaking of success, our team can proudly showcase several awards earned in 2018, including Best Retail Investment Platform, Breakthrough Award for the VestmarkONE platform, and a WealthManagement.com industry award. Additionally, “Best in Boston” ranked us as #36 of the top 100 Boston Tech Companies.

Along with adding 83 new employees this year, Vestmark saw some changes on its executive team, including a new CFO, Mark Donohue. Mark was hired just in time for us to announce a major milestone: hitting trillion in assets under management with over 3.4 million accounts managed on VestmarkONE®. With Mark’s operational efficiency and strategy development, he is the perfect candidate to help us achieve our financial goals going forward.

If you’ve seen us around conferences lately you may have noticed our new branding. In particular, our graphic design team has developed and rolled out a new logo intended to better tell our story. The outside circle represents our products and services with the inside circle representing asset allocation; the top piece of the “pie” is the V in Vestmark.

We are humbled and thankful for what 2018 has brought us and are looking forward to what 2019 has in store.
