Chief Executive Officer
John Lunny joined Vestmark in April of 2002 as the Chief Operations Officer, responsible for the operations of the company and the customer engineering organization. John was named Chief Executive Officer of Vestmark in 2008.
Prior to joining Vestmark, John was a Senior Director of Engineering at Vignette Corporation where he was responsible for Vignette's analysis, personalization, and wireless products. John joined Vignette through their acquisition of DataSage, an eCRM software provider, in January of 2000. John was a co-founder of DataSage and served as the Vice President of Engineering, responsible for all product design and development.
Prior to joining DataSage, John acquired more than 10 years of TCP / IP research and development experience through his tenure at The Wollongong Group (acquired by Attachmate) where he was responsible for their network management products, the U.S. Department of Defense where he implemented one of the first FDDI interconnects, and the MIT Laboratory of Computer Science where he helped develop the reference TCP / IP implementation (PCIP) for the Internet.
Executive Vice President / Client Delivery
Michael Blundin joined Vestmark in July 2004 and oversees the relationship management, project management, and customer engineering teams. He is responsible for upholding superior service and support to ensure client satisfaction. His teams are responsible for implementation, product adoption, ongoing account management, and renewal sales.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Michael was Vice President of Products at Savantis Systems, an industry pioneer in Server Virtualization technology. There, he led product management and market development for the industry's first database server virtualization product.
Prior to joining Savantis, Michael was Director of Product Management at Vignette Corporation. Here, he and his team of product managers led the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Vignette's acquired products and technologies. Michael joined Vignette through their acquisition of DataSage where he was a co-founder and Director of Marketing, responsible for all market development and product management activities.
Previously, Michael was the Vice President of Marketing for Cirrus Recognition Systems, a Data Mining software company, which he co-founded in 1991.
Michael holds a BA in Physical Sciences from Colgate University, where he studied Physics, Chemistry, and Japanese.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Donohue joined Vestmark in August 2018 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing Financial Planning, Corporate Development, Accounting, and Investor Relations.
Prior to Vestmark, Mark served nearly three years at Rapid7, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, in numerous executive roles including Vice President of Finance, Corporate Development, and Treasury & Investor Relations. He led the company through a strategic acquisition and helped stimulate the company to new business growth and stock appreciation. Before this, Mark held multiple Director-level positions at Cisco Systems and Starent Networks, navigating those companies through significant business transformations in the wake of shifting market dynamics in the mobile telecommunications industry.
He also worked at IDC, a technology research firm, and Ferris Baker Watts, a full-service investment bank, which was acquired by the Royal Bank of Canada in 2009. Mark held Series 7, 86, and 87 licenses and published sell-side research on numerous companies in the technology sector.
Mark began his career at Teradyne and Quantum, where he held financial management roles in both the Accounting and Corporate Finance groups.
Mark holds a BS in Business Administration & Finance from the University of New Hampshire, and received both his MBA and MS in Finance from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management.
Executive Vice President / Global Sales
Ben Miele joined Vestmark in July 2019 as Executive Vice President Sales to lead all sales strategy and execution, and to provide leadership to the entire sales and sales support team.
Prior to Vestmark, Ben served 12 years at Globoforce/Workhuman, a high growth integrated Social Recognition and continuous performance management platform. Finishing his tenure as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales, he was instrumental in helping the Company become a market leader and award winner. Before joining Globoforce/Workhuman, Ben was the Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Webhire, a leading provider of Saas-based talent management solutions. Under his guidance and with the rapid growth of sales, Webhire was acquired by Kenexa Corporation in 2005. Ben began his sales leadership career with Desktop Data, a leading provider of news and data to the financial services industry. During his 6-year tenure, Desktop Data went from a start-up company, to a market leader, to a public company, rated by Forbes magazine as the second best IPO in 1995.
Ben holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Brandeis University.
Founder / Chief Information Officer
Chuck Johnson founded Vestmark in February 2001. Prior to founding Vestmark, Chuck was the Principle Architect of the Personalization Products Division at Vignette Corporation (NASDAQ: VIGN) responsible for the architecture and design of all Personalization Products. Chuck joined Vignette through their acquisition of DataSage in January 2000. Chuck was a co-founder of DataSage and served as the Director of Engineering and Lead Architect responsible for all product design and development.
Prior to joining DataSage, Chuck had more than 15 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Defense developing real-time distributed systems.
Chuck holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and both a BS and MS of Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he studied Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, and Digital System Design.
Executive Vice President / Client Operations
Annmarie Rogers joined Vestmark in January 2004. She oversees product and technical support, client operations, training, and outsourced services. She has over 20 years of experience in investment systems development, implementations, and support.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Annmarie was a Managing Consultant at Venture Financial Systems Group, Ltd., a boutique consulting firm, specifically focused on delivering business and technology solutions to the financial services industry.
Prior to Venture, Annmarie spent over 16 years at Thomson Financial where she served as Vice President and Director of Product Operations, responsible for design, development, and quality assurance of PORTIA, Oneva TradeEQ, and Oneva Perform.
Annmarie holds both a BA in Zoology and Classics, the latter with a concentration in Latin, from the University of Vermont.
Chief Technology Officer
Heeren Pathak, Chief Technology Officer, leads Vestmark’s long-term technology vision. An award winning technology veteran with expertise in user experience, data analytics, web services, and information security, Heeren designs the roadmap for the VestmarkONE® platform, leads Vestmark’s QA and product management team, and works closely with clients and industry partners to deliver innovative solutions to the market. Heeren was named “Advisory Solutions All-Star Achiever” by the Money Management Institute (MMI) for the contributions he has made in the advancement of fee-based advisory solutions and is responsible for Vestmark’s intellectual property strategy, procuring numerous patents and trademarks for the VestmarkONE® platform. His passion and vision for enabling holistic advice is at the heart of the VestmarkONE® platform, now an integral operational component at over 40 investment management firms.
Prior to Vestmark, Heeren was the Senior Director of Engineering at Vignette Corporation. There, he led the development efforts for real-time content personalization, content usage analysis, and content usage reporting, integrating these components to enhance Vignette's core content management offering. Prior to Vignette, Heeren held various management and technical positions at Simulation Sciences Corp., Workgroup Technology Corporation, and MITRE Corporation.
Heeren holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MS in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
Corporate Strategy Officer
Rob Klapprodt joined Vestmark in 2001 as VP of Products and is now Corporate Strategy Officer of the company.
Prior to Vestmark, Rob was a Senior Product Manager at Vignette Corporation (NASDAQ: VIGN) for the company’s data analytics and content personalization solutions. In this pivotal, cross-functional position, he defined and shaped the market strategy for the product line. He joined Vignette through their acquisition of DataSage, a data mining and CRM software provider, in January of 2000. At DataSage, Rob held positions in sales, consulting, and product management. There, his experience and expertise were integrated into the design and development of DataSage's flagship solution.
Rob worked at Oracle Corporation before joining DataSage, where he focused on Oracle's data warehousing and business intelligence solutions for large enterprises.
Rob holds a BS from Pennsylvania State University, where he studied Economics and Mathematics.
Chief Marketing Officer
Lonnie Macdonald joined Vestmark in 2017 as Chief Marketing Officer, and is tasked with defining and overseeing Vestmark’s marketing and brand strategy and contributing to driving revenue across the company’s solutions and services.
Lon brings a wealth of experience to Vestmark. In previous roles running sales and marketing functions for firms such as Foreside Financial, Beacon Hill Fund Services, UMB Fund Services, and GCom Solutions, he spearheaded efforts to define each firm’s brand strategy and aligned marketing and sales resources to generate growth. In addition, Lon has played a pivotal role in developing and executing M&A strategy and corporate expansion efforts.
Chief People Officer
Nick Thurlow joined Vestmark in April 2019 as Chief People Officer, responsible for human resources strategy and services, including nurturing and strengthening Vestmark’s culture in support of its business objectives. He leads all talent management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits and organizational development programs to uphold the company’s reputation as a best place to work.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Nick spent 5 years at InterGen, a global energy company, as Vice President of Human Resources and Public Affairs overseeing human resources strategy and services, including leadership and organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, workforce planning, HR information systems, and total rewards, as well as internal and external communications.
Before joining InterGen, Nick was Vice President of Human Resources at Comverse, Inc. in roles of increasing responsibility for over 15 years. He was the leader for talent management, talent acquisition and global shared services while serving as an executive human resources business partner.
Previously, Nick held various roles managing Human Resources for Boston Technology and Cabletron Systems.
Nick holds a BA in Management, Economics and Sociology from Hartwick College, and received his MBA from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management.
SVP / Product Management
Mark Peabody joined Vestmark through the July 2004 acquisition of LifeHarbor, a pioneer in Portfolio Manufacturing solutions. Mark was co-founder of LifeHarbor and served as Vice President of Product and Technology responsible for all product design and development.
Prior to LifeHarbor, Mark was a Director and Senior Architect in the Money Management and Trading practice of Cambridge Technology Partners where he led the design and development of custom equity and currency trading systems for large investment management and brokerage firms.
Mark holds a BS in Physics from Bates College and an MSE in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Managing Director / Vestmark Advisory Services
Mr. Camp joined Vestmark in 2013 and is responsible for directing the convergence of financial service providers to Vestmark Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), developing the staff and facilities for the BPO unit, and creating and implementing the strategic development of Vestmark‘s BPO division. Mr. Camp has over 25 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Mr. Camp held Senior Product Manager positions at both UMB and JP Morgan, directing the outsourcing businesses.
Previously, Mr. Camp was Managing Director of the Managed Accounts division at Victory Capitol / Key Bank and founder of ASI consulting, a boutique technology firm providing business and technology service to asset managers.
Mr. Camp holds a BA from Rutgers University, where he studied Economics and Computer Science.
SVP / Business Development
Mr. Friedlander joined Vestmark in 2005 and is responsible for business development across Vestmark’s target markets, including broker-dealers, banks, asset managers, and registered investment advisors. Mr. Friedlander’s tenure, deep product and industry knowledge, and consultative approach make him well suited to help existing clients and prospects achieve their business objectives and best leverage Vestmark’s broad suite of technology and services.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Mr. Friedlander was Corporate Sales Director for Newmarket International, a leading global technology provider in the hotel and hospitality industry, where he was responsible for business development and ongoing relationship management with the world’s largest hotel firms.
Mr. Friedlander holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
SVP / Client Experience
Vince Pellegrini brings over 20 years of wealth management experience in senior leadership roles across technology, marketing, and product management. Most recently, as Principal of Advanced Objects, Inc., Vince spearheaded the development of innovative enterprise and mobile solutions for asset managers, broker-dealers, RIAs, TAMPs and insurance providers. Advanced Objects software and IP was acquired by Vestmark in July 2015.
Prior to Advanced Objects, Vince was Chief Marketing Officer of Calamos Investments (NASDAQ: CLMS). Before Calamos, he was Head of Marketing and Customer Technology at Nuveen Investments. At both global investment firms, Vince and his teams defined and executed the online and offline marketing mix for retail investors, institutional investors, and hundreds of thousands of advisors across multiple channels, segments, platforms and products.
SVP / Relationship Management & Client Solutions
Ananya Balaram joined Vestmark in 2008 and is responsible for ensuring the company delivers on our value proposition through our relationships with clients and the solutions we deliver to clients. His Vestmark journey began as a relationship manager working with Vestmark’s largest clients in a consultative fashion to understand their implementation needs. His industry and product expertise, along with his penchant for creativity, have resulted in his progression to his current role.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Ananya was on the overlay management team at Morgan Stanley, responsible for one of the largest unified managed account products in the industry.
Ananya holds a B.A. from Oberlin College, where he played on the varsity tennis team and studied Mathematics and Economics.
SVP / Business Development
Starla Hendricks joined Vestmark in 2019 and is responsible for business development across Vestmark’s broad suite of technology and services. Starla is a self-motivated, results-driven sales executive for the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Starla was Vice President, Business Development for Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk Wealth Management division, with responsibilities that included using a consultative approach to assist existing clients and prospects to achieve their business objectives. Prior to that, she led the sales team for Financial Industry Technical Services, which provides consulting services to the financial industry.
Starla holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from St. Cloud State University, and previously held FINRA license Series 7,24, 52, 62, and 63.
Chief Technologist / Investment Systems
Dennis Sheckler is one of the world's leading experts in Portfolio Management, Accounting, and Corporate Actions technology. He has over 35 years of experience in investment software systems design. Prior to joining Vestmark, Dennis served as the Lead Architect for Advent Custodial Data and Advent TrustedNetwork® products at Advent Software, Inc.
Prior to Advent, Dennis spent over 12 years at Thomson Financial where he served as a Lead Architect and Chief Programmer on the PORTIA Portfolio Management product and as a Technical Adviser to Thomson Trading Systems for Oneva Trade EQ, Autex, TradeRoute, Oasys, Oasys Global and Alert.
While a member of the Administrative Staff at MIT, Dennis participated in the development of RDMS, one of the first relational database management systems.
Dennis holds both a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In January 2007, Dennis earned the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) designation from the CFA Institute.

Nichlaus Thacker joined Vestmark in 2016 to help drive enterprise business development efforts across asset managers, banks, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisors. Nichlaus has over 15 years’ experience in financial services wealth management and technology.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Nichlaus was Associate Vice President of Business Development at RBC Correspondent and RBC Advisor Services, a division of RBC Capital Markets providing clearing, custody and execution services for independent broker-dealers and registered investment advisors. Nichlaus also served in various leadership roles across managed account operations, trading, advisory product development and strategic relationship management at RBC Wealth Management where he also established and implemented the Overlay Portfolio Management business that delivered the Specialty Portfolios advisory program. Nichlaus’ deep product and industry knowledge and his consultative approach make him well-suited to help existing clients and prospects achieve their business objectives and best leverage Vestmark’s broad suite of technology and outsourcing services.
Nichlaus holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University.
SVP / Global Partnerships
Wayne Gilpin joined Vestmark in October 2016 as the SVP, Global Partners for Vestmark leading the partnership development effort with a focus on Clearing & Custody providers and strategic vendor relationships.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Wayne was an industry consultant with Finix Business Services until it was acquired by DST Systems where he focused on the design and development of innovative solutions that leveraged DST’s portfolio of technologies.
Prior to joining DTS Systems, Wayne was part of the executive management team at the regional broker-dealer, B.C. Ziegler. He served as Senior Managing Director in charge of its Wealth Management Group and was responsible for the management of the firm’s retail financial advisors. He was appointed to the Board of Directors for Ziegler Asset Management and represented the firm on the SIFMA Private Client Committee.
Previously, Wayne was President and CEO of Madison Securities, a Chicago-based independent broker-dealer that provided retail brokerage services, proprietary securities trading, and venture financing for emerging technology companies. Beginning in 1985, his career has included wirehouse experience and entrepreneurial contributions to the start-up and growth of several independent broker-dealer organizations.

Greg Wylie joined Vestmark in 2017 to help drive business development across Vestmark’s target markets, including broker-dealers, banks, asset managers, and registered investment advisors. Greg has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years in a variety of client facing roles.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Greg spent over 10 years as Vice President, Business Development for Fidessa Buy-Side (now Ion Trading) with responsibilities that included business development for the Front Office Buy Side Portfolio and Order Management solution. Greg applies a consultative approach to assist existing clients and prospects to achieve their business objectives by best leveraging Vestmark’s broad suite of technology and services.
Greg holds a BSBA in Finance from Villanova University, and a MBA from Endicott College.
SVP / Business Process Outsourcing
Ryan Carter joined Vestmark in 2017 and oversees Vestmark Outsources Services (VOS). He is responsible for ensuring VOS provides superior service for clients utilizing Vestmark’s suite of outsourcing services. His teams of dedicated resources with proven industry expertise are responsible for Account Administration, Performance Measurement, Corporate Actions, Client Reporting and Reconciliation.
Ryan’s 15 years of Wealth Management Operations experience make him well-suited to lead VOS and partner with existing and new clients to support day-to-day activities, manage implementations, improve efficiencies, and lower operational risk so clients can focus resources on their key core competencies.
Ryan holds a BA from Salem State University, where he studied Business Management.
SVP / Business Development
Steve Smith joined Vestmark in 2018 to expand the North American client base across broker-dealers, asset managers, registered investment advisors, and banks.
Formerly SVP of Business Development for UMB Fund Services, Steve brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services to Vestmark. Prior to joining UMB, Steve spent seven years at J.P. Morgan World Wide Securities Services as SVP of Business Development for their Western Hemisphere division, and also served in their managed account services product area until it was acquired by UMB in 2010. Before this, Steve spent four years at both ABN AMRO North American Asset Management and BISYS Fund Services where he was responsible for mutual fund operation, administration, and distribution initiatives. He has also held sales management positions at Kemper Corporation, Dean Witter and Balcor / American Express.
Steve holds a BS in Marketing/Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
SVP / Software Engineering
Todd Giaquintojoined Vestmark in 2013 to scale the Engineering organization and drive day-to-day operations and execution. He has 20+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture and leadership.
Prior to joining Vestmark, Todd was the VP of Technology for Asure Software, leading technology M&A activities and integrating the platform strategy for a suite of SaaS applications. Before joining Asure, he was CTO for ADI Time where he set the technology vision for a successful acquisition.
Todd holds a BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
