Karl Roessner
Professional Experience Pre-Vestmark
Prior to joining Vestmark, Karl was chief executive of Lefteris Acquisition Corporation, a fintech-focused SPAC. That followed his time at E*TRADE Financial Corporation, where he served as CEO and a member of the board of directors, returning billions of dollars to shareholders through buybacks and dividends. He was also president and served on the board of directors for E*TRADE Bank, where he led the company and the bank through multiple restructuring and reorganization transactions. Early in his career, Karl was a partner and practicing attorney at Clifford Chance, LLP in its Mergers & Acquisitions Group, where he successfully led more than 100 transactions.
Education and Certifications
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law and a B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, from Siena College.
