Vestmark Names Tim Hawkes SVP, Engineering

Industry veteran to lead the software engineering organization with a focus on excellence and innovation

Vestmark is pleased to welcome Tim Hawkes as the company’s new Senior Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Tim will be responsible for all software engineering, including development, quality assurance, testing automation and architecture. Tim will partner with Vestmark’s Products and Strategy Teams to ensure seamless and rapid execution of the product roadmap, as Vestmark remains committed to innovation. He will report to Mike Blundin, Vestmark’s Chief Executive Officer.

“As we expand the range of our technology solutions and ways we can support our clients’ growth, Tim will provide leadership and innovative thinking as he oversees the Vestmark team responsible for developing our award-winning platforms. This is a key role focused on driving engineering growth, innovation and, ensuring continued operational excellence,” said Mr. Blundin. “Tim has a strong background in our industry, which combined with his experience in agile scrum methodology in a SaaS environment makes him uniquely qualified. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Prior to joining Vestmark, Tim was Head of Engineering, Investment Management at SS&C Technologies Holdings (NASDAQ: SSNC), the world’s largest hedge fund and private equity administrator, as well as the largest mutual fund transfer agency. While at SS&C, Tim was responsible for the design and development of the entire suite of Investment Management applications, partnering on an ongoing basis with the Product Development, Sales, InfoSec and DevOps teams. Prior to that, he served as Head of Application and Data Management at American Student Assistance, responsible for all data and applications. Previously, he was a Vice President, Global Markets Technology and Portfolio Solutions at State Street Global Markets, where he was responsible for the State Street Global Commission Management product line. Other experiences include a variety of engineering work at Wellington Management, Putnam Investments and Thomson Financial.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bryant College and holds a variety of technical certifications.
