Karl Roessner

Chief Executive Officer

Karl Roessner is Chief Executive Officer of Vestmark, responsible for the vision and strategic direction of the company, including new business growth and expansion into adjacent product lines, and broadening Vestmark’s partnerships across the fintech ecosystem.

Karl has over 25 years of experience in executive management and a unique combination of commercial expertise, executive level leadership and Board level experience to lead Vestmark’s efforts to transform and grow.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Karl was CEO of Lefteris Acquisition Corporation (a special purpose acquisition company focused on the fintech arena).

Previously, Mr. Roessner served as the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of E*TRADE Financial Corp., where he led the company’s turnaround, significantly grew revenue, expanded operating margins and executed key acquisitions and integrations which augmented and enhanced customer offerings. He concurrently served as President and a member of the Board of Directors of E*TRADE Bank, a wholly owned banking subsidiary. Prior to being named CEO, he spent over seven years as E*TRADE’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Early in his career, Karl was a Partner at Clifford Chance, LLP in its Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Siena College.

President and Chief Operating Officer

Michael Blundin is President and Chief Operating Officer of Vestmark, responsible for Vestmark’s core business supporting client success. This includes leading internal operations, VestmarkONE platform development, Vestmark’s advisory services including direct indexing, and service programs for Vestmark’s asset management and wealth management clients.

Mr. Blundin joined Vestmark in 2004 and has served in multiple executive roles, including CEO, CTO, EVP of Client Delivery, SVP of Relationship Management and General Manager of Managed Services.

In his 18 years at the company, he has played a key role in shaping Vestmark’s strategy, forging deep client relationships and leading teams responsible for relationship management, software engineering, product management, quality assurance, implementation and consulting services.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Mr. Blundin served in executive roles at Savantis Systems, Vignette Corporation and Cirrus Recognition Systems, a company he co-founded.

Michael holds a BA in Physical Sciences from Colgate University, where he studied Physics, Chemistry, and Japanese.

Chief People Officer

Nick Thurlow joined Vestmark in April 2019 as Chief People Officer, responsible for human resources strategy and services, including nurturing and strengthening Vestmark’s culture in support of its business objectives. He leads all talent management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits and organizational development programs to uphold the company’s reputation as a best place to work.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Nick spent 5 years at InterGen, a global energy company, as Vice President of Human Resources and Public Affairs overseeing human resources strategy and services, including leadership and organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, workforce planning, HR information systems, and total rewards, as well as internal and external communications.

Before joining InterGen, Nick was Vice President of Human Resources at Comverse, Inc. in roles of increasing responsibility for over 15 years. He was the leader for talent management, talent acquisition and global shared services while serving as an executive human resources business partner.

Previously, Nick held various roles managing Human Resources for Boston Technology and Cabletron Systems.

Nick holds a BA in Management, Economics and Sociology from Hartwick College, and received his MBA from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management.

Chief Revenue Officer

Ananya Balaram joined Vestmark in 2008 and is Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), responsible for all revenue generation, expansion, retention and related activities. He leads the firm’s sales, relationship management, client solutions and marketing teams.

Ananya’s Vestmark journey began as a relationship manager working with Vestmark’s largest clients in a consultative fashion to understand their vision and deliver on their needs. He led the relationship management and client solutions teams until 2020, when he was named EVP of Sales for the firm. His industry, client and product expertise, strong leadership skills, and penchant for creativity have resulted in his progression to his current role.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Ananya was on the overlay management team at Morgan Stanley, responsible for one of the largest unified managed account products in the industry.

Ananya holds a B.A. from Oberlin College, where he played on the varsity tennis team and majored in Mathematics and Economics.

Chief Financial Officer

Dan is Vestmark’s Chief Financial Officer overseeing Finance, Accounting, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. Dan joined Vestmark in 2018 as VP, Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations, and was responsible for driving the company’s long-range strategic planning, annual budgeting and forecasting. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President, Strategy, responsible for developing and executing the corporate strategy and go to market planning for all of Vestmark’s business lines.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Dan spent 8 years at Cisco Systems, where he held strategy and planning leadership roles at the Corporate level and in the company’s Cybersecurity, Service Provider and Mobile Infrastructure businesses. He led initiatives and partnered with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering teams to drive strategy through product and market transitions, including partnership development, scaling operations and driving M&A opportunities. Dan began his career with EMC Corporation, where he held progressive roles in Finance, Investor Relations and Audit.

Dan holds a BS in Finance from Boston College and an MBA from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management.

Annmarie Rogers joined Vestmark in January 2004. She oversees product and technical support, client operations, training, and outsourced services. She has over 20 years of experience in investment systems development, implementations, and support.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Annmarie was a Managing Consultant at Venture Financial Systems Group, Ltd., a boutique consulting firm, specifically focused on delivering business and technology solutions to the financial services industry.

Prior to Venture, Annmarie spent over 16 years at Thomson Financial where she served as Vice President and Director of Product Operations, responsible for design, development, and quality assurance of PORTIA, Oneva TradeEQ, and Oneva Perform.

Annmarie holds both a BA in Zoology and Classics, the latter with a concentration in Latin, from the University of Vermont.

Executive Vice President / Projects and Planning

Leo Schrantz joined Vestmark in 2021 and is responsible for driving initiatives to improve the firm’s operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Leo worked for three years as a management consultant for Bain & Company, serving a variety of clients in areas including strategy, operations, organizational design and performance improvement. He also led a team in performing over 20 different commercial due diligence efforts for various private equity clients.

Leo started his career at Accenture Federal Services where he helped various federal government clients in leveraging data to drive operational efficiencies. He also served in the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2010 - 2011.

Leo holds a BSFS in International Political Economy from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and an MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Executive Vice President / Client Delivery

Dennis Boudreau oversees Vestmark’s Client Delivery function, ensuring client satisfaction through building, testing, and deploying strategic technology solutions. His teams are responsible for client implementations, project management, and product adoption. He joined Vestmark in 2016 and was previously Group Vice President for Relationship Management, responsible for leading account management and building strategic client relationships.

For more than 20 years, Dennis has focused on client service and building client-centric cultures. Prior to joining Vestmark, Dennis spent 7 years as Director of Client Services for Broadridge Financial Services, where he managed a diverse team responsible for relationship management onboarding and implementation activities. Earlier, he held similar positions at Eagle Investment Systems and Sungard Securities Processing.

Dennis holds a BA in Management from the University of Massachusetts.

Executive Vice President / General Counsel

Conor Daly is EVP, General Counsel of Vestmark, responsible for all legal, compliance and regulatory matters related to Vestmark's operations. Conor joined Vestmark in 2019 as VP, Legal and was responsible for creating Vestmark’s legal and compliance function. His experience at Vestmark has covered corporate governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, legal and regulatory compliance, intellectual property management, commercial contracting, real estate, litigation management, employment, and risk management.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Conor spent over four years at Akamai Technologies, Inc. where he held significant roles in the company’s legal department focusing on corporate governance, SEC compliance and M&A and finance transactions. Earlier in his career, he spent over eight years at two large global law firms focusing on corporate and strategic business transactions.

Conor received a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a B.A. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Executive Vice President / Head of Products

Corey Fiedler joined Vestmark in September 2023 as EVP, Head of Products, responsible for crafting and leading the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the firm. She has over 20 years of experience in product management and strategy roles in the financial technology sector.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Corey was VP, Head of Product Management at Broadridge Financial, managing a product management and design team of 30+ professionals focused on driving innovation, operational excellence and digital customer experiences for the Investor Communications Services (ICS) business.

Previously, Corey spent nine years at Thomson Reuters where she most recently managed product strategy, development and operations for the Public Relations segment of the Corporate Services division.

Corey received an MBA from George Washington University and a BS in Management Decision Technologies from Binghamton University.

Senior Vice President / Engineering

Tim Hawkes is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Vestmark, responsible for all software engineering, including development, quality assurance, testing automation and architecture. Tim oversees the team responsible for developing our award-winning platforms, and partners with Vestmark’s Products and Strategy Teams to ensure seamless and rapid execution of the product roadmap.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Tim was Head of Engineering, Investment Management at SS&C Technologies Holdings, the world’s largest hedge fund and private equity administrator, as well as the largest mutual fund transfer agency. While at SS&C, Tim was responsible for the design and development of the entire suite of Investment Management applications, partnering on an ongoing basis with the Product Development, Sales, InfoSec and DevOps teams. Prior to that, he served as Head of Application and Data Management at American Student Assistance, responsible for all data and applications. Previously, he was a Vice President, Global Markets Technology and Portfolio Solutions at State Street Global Markets, where he was responsible for the State Street Global Commission Management product line. Other experiences include a variety of engineering work at Wellington Management, Putnam Investments and Thomson Financial.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bryant College and holds a variety of technical certifications.

Rob Battista Rob Battista

Senior Vice President / Head of Advisory Solutions

Rob Battista is SVP, Head of Advisory Solutions, responsible for expanding and executing on all of the investment advisory services offered under Vestmark’s RIA.

Prior to joining Vestmark, Rob was Head of Advisory Solutions at Janney Montgomery Scott, responsible for all aspects of the firm’s advisory business including platform, research, sales and trading. While at Janney, Rob developed and managed the strategic roadmap for a rapidly growing platform that exceeded $70BN in advisory AUM. Prior to that, he served as Director of Wealth Management Research at Janney, providing advisors with high conviction investment product recommendations, while managing portfolios that provided clients with turn-key access to analysis and product selection. Previously, he was a Senior Product Analyst at Franklin Square Capital Partners, where he served as product expert for all portfolio related products. He started his career at such firms as Morgan Stanley, Lockwood Advisors and Citi Private Bank in various portfolio and investment analyst roles.

Rob has a Master of Finance degree from Penn State University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Elon University. He is also a CFA® Charterholder, with both Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
